This is the perfect time of year to put your focus on organizing your home. Consider it a spring clean, if you will, only in the winter when you really don't want to be outdoors. Christmas can cause so much clutter in your home, between decorations and all of those random, tiny stocking stuffers and gifts your kids pull out on Christmas morning. Take this time to truly organize your decorations before putting them away for the year and while you're at it, spend some time organizing other spaces in your home.
The kitchen is a great place to organize. Empty those kitchen cabinets, determine what you need or don't need, and figure out the best way to put everything back in the cabinets in an organized manner. Did your kids get clothes for Christmas? This is a great time to go through all of the clothes they already have and remove what doesn't fit anymore before placing new clothes in their closets and drawers. Many stores have great sales this time of year on different types of organization storage so you can take advantage of those sales as well. Should I even mention the garage? The garage is a catch-all for items that don't have a home or need to be put away quickly in preparation for company.
